‘HIV is’ going The Full 360

Significant advances in HIV treatment and management mean that many people living with HIV (PLHIV) can now expect to live as long as the general population.1

However, PLHIV can develop comorbidities (e.g. cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, kidney disease etc.) up to a decade earlier than the general population, which is why it is so important that PLHIV take an active role in managing their own health.2

Today, there is a focus on HIV treatments that have durable efficacy with minimal impact on overall health and quality of life.3

The ‘HIV is: Just a part of me’ campaign was designed to highlight the importance of PLHIV having discussions with their healthcare team about their current and future health so that lifelong, good health becomes a shared goal.
